assistance and undertake follow-up services for them and their

Social Welfare Department
Objectives

To provide Medical Assistance in the form of


free medicines, blood and treatment to the poor
and needy patients visiting to Hospital from
various cities and rural areas of the Southern
Punjab, Sindh, Balouchistan and NWFP.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Social Welfare Department is to
enhance the health, social functioning and well being of
the children, families and communities, which we serve.
In carrying out the mission, we are guided by our values
and belief in:

 • The protection and safety of all children
 and families.
 • Interdisciplinary collaboration and open
 communication.

 • All patients’ cases are scrutinized and processed


before assistance is provided.
 • To help the patients and families deal with the
emotional stress of child illness.
 • To serve as liaison between physician, patients and
their families.
 • To provide multiple services for patients and families
including counseling and emotional support,
psychological assessment.

Facilitation patients for medical assistance from
Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal. Social Welfare
Department with liaison of PBM for
arrangement of life saving drugs etc. for the
poor patients.
Social Welfare Department received cheques
through Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal for treatment of
deserving patients of cancer, dialysis,
thalassemia and mentally retarded.
