1991 act.

through its various poorest of the poor focused
services.

• Mother to the motherless.

• 1500 Orphans in 13 Pakistan

• Provides Residential and Educational


facilities to orphan children to
make them better citizens.
ACT 1991
• CLAUSE 4(d): Money in the Bait-ul-Mal
shall be utilized to provide residential
accommodation and necessary
facilities to the persons specified
in Clause-4(a) i.e. destitute and
needy widows and orphans etc.

CRITERIA
• Orphan (Father is deceased).
• Male.
• Age between 4 to 6 years.
• Poor (Eligible of Zakat).
FUNCTIONS
• Orphan children between four to six
years age are kept in the Orphanages
till they complete 14 years of education.

• aim to provide quality education to orphan kids and


to keep them safe from indulging in negative
activities.

• Most of the Orphans are from families affected by


operations against war on terror & Bomb blasts.
FACILITIES
• Free furnished accommodation in a family unit.
• Free nutritious balanced diet as per
weekly menu (breakfast/lunch/dinner).
• Free Education in best schools of the town.
• Free Uniform, books and utensils.
• Free Summer/Winter clothing along with shoes
(once a season).
• Medical care.
• Skill development.
FACILITIES
• Orphans can be given vacations in various Religious
day and they are allowed to go home.
• For every 10 Orphans theirs a permanent
mother maid to look after them.
• PBM bear all the boarding, lodging, schooling and all
other expenses of orphan kids until they became
financially self-reliant.
• There are two teachers and one qari or qaria for
hundred children in a center.
OUTCOME & BENEFITS
• Ensuring a definite future with dignity
for at least 10% of Orphans living
in extreme poverty.
• Rehabilitation of 100 Orphans in each center.
• Preservation of cultural values by making them
useful and helpful citizens.
• Allowing them to live normal lives with other
citizens in a venerable manner.
EXPENDITURES
• Annual expenditure of one center is
more than Rs 100 lacs.

• Per month expense on every orphan


is Rs 9500.
SPONSORSHIP
• Anyone can sponsor the expenses of
a child with amount Rs 9500 per
month.

• The whole center can also be sponsored for 14 years.

• Out of 1500, 750 children and 6 centers have been


sponsored by different celebrities, philanthropists,
and politicians.

PLANS
• The PBM has planned to launch 19 more
centers.

• The centers would be established in


Lahore, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Sahiwal,
Khoshab, Attock, Jhelum, Jhang, Chakwal,
Karachi, Sukkar, Peshawar, Zhob, Islamabad,
Sadhnoti and Skardu.
PLANS
• Sweet Homes for senior citizens has been launched
at Sihala.

• Sweet Homes for orphan girls would


be established in June this year at all
the districts where Sweet Homes for
boys are being set-up.
