Good morning
ALWAYS magINSPECT
Hand and wrist
1. Observe: No swelling, no redness, no nodules,
no bony deformities, no muscle atrophy on
hand and wrist.
2. Palpate fingers: No tenderness, no nodules on
the proximal and distal interphalangeal and
metacarpophalangeal joints
3. Palpate wrist: No tenderness, no nodules on
wrist
4. Dance of fingers: the patient was able to
perform full range of motion of wrist and
fingers
Forearm
1. No bony deformity, no lesions
2. Ulna & radius are palpable
3. Patient was able to do pronation and supination
Elbow Joint
1. Medial epicondyle, lateral epicondyle,
olecranon process, olecranon bursa are
palpable, no swelling no tenderness
2. Measure arm circumference, it is symmetrical
3. Flexion, extension, pronation and supination
Upper Arm
1. No bony deformity, no lesions
2. Biceps & triceps are normal in tone, no
tenderness, no swelling
Shoulder
1. No lesions, no pigmentation
2. Manubrium, sternoclavicular joint, clavicle,
acromion, greater tubercle, coracoid process
are palpable , no atrophy, no swelling, no
deformity
3. Flexion, extension, abduction, adduction,
internal rotation, external rotation
Neck
1. No lesions, no pigmentation
2. Yuko, C7, trapezius has no tenderness
3. Right lateral rotation, Left lateral rotation, right
internal bending, left lateral bending
Spine
1. No lesions, no pigmentation

2. View at side: Cervical concavity, thoracic
convexity, lumbar concavity
3. Palpate for tenderness
4. Flexion, extension, right lateral bending, left
lateral bending
Hips
1. No lesions, no pigmentation
2. Kapa kappa, sabihin kung may masakit: no
swelling, no tenderness, no malalignment of the
hips
3. Iliac crest and greater trochanter are palpable
4. Flexion, extension, abduction, adduction,
internal rotation, external rotation
5. Straight leg test
6. Hugh owen Thomas test
7. Patrick & gaelen test
Thigh
1. No lesions, no pigmentation
2. Quadriceps; hamstring are palpable
3. Femur symmetrical & no deformities
Knee & Joint
1. No lesions, no pigmentation
2. Patella is mobile
3. Measure circumference
4. Flexion & extension
Lower Leg
1. No lesions, no pigmentation
2. Gastrocnemius, soleus, & Achilles tendon are
palpable
3. Tibia and fibula are palpable
Ankle Joint
1. No lesions, no pigmentation
2. Lateral and medial malleoli are palpable
3. Dorsiflexion, plantar flexion, inversion and
eversion
4. Pedal, toes & cutaneous abnormalities
