REFLECTIVE ESSAY

Samar State University is a transformative University

Committed to technology, Innovation, and Service Excellence. The
University shall primarily provide advanced instruction and professional
training in the arts, philosophy, social sciences, agriculture and fishery,
forestry science and technology, engineering, education, law and other
related fields. It also under take research and extension services and
provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization. Samar State
University Mantra is to build, to innovate, and to serve. It commits to
provide and uphold service excellence in instruction, research and
extension in conformity to legal and statutory requirements for continual
improvement and customer satisfaction.
In relation to the topic about Purposive Communication as a
Student of Samar State University it is important for us to know the proper
use of grammar and to deliver the words correctly to have a good
communication. Because as a future educator we need to build our
confidence and to communicate effectively to our students. Through
Purposive Communication we can help students to build a good future,
innovate them to learn more, and to serve with other people. Purposive
Communication is also used in expressing our thoughts and ideas in
distinct way. In this case we can develop our ability to interact with other
people in different places. Purposive Communication had five macro skills
the writing skills, reading skills, listening skills, speaking skills, and
viewing skills. Through Purposive Communication help us to be
linguistic, discourse, social and strategic competent. It is a guide for us to
have an effective communication.
I choose my profession to become a future educator because it is
my passion of learning and teaching so I can also help those students who
had difficulty in learning. I want to help them to become a good leader, to
be excellence and to have discipline. It is my duty and responsibility as a
future educator to learn more about Purposive Communication to provide
and uphold a good service with excellence. Through Purposive
Communication it can help me also to become a public speaker and it will
build my confidence and change my personality and improve my
knowledge.
