II. RATIONALE:

As we travel our new normal learning journey due to the changes brought about by the COVID-19
crisis, E.Gala Elementary School underscores the important role of parents and guardians in
making sure that the learning of their children will continue amid expected disruptions. This is very
new to everyone especially to parents since they will take a big part in the new normal setup. Battling
triple duty—working, parenting and teaching from home—all while striving to keep your household
healthy, fed and mentally balanced. It is an unprecedented event and no one was prepared. It is a time
when most parents/guardians would define as going to battle unarmed. But most of them took the
challenge courageously for the best interest of their children. For these reasons mentioned and for
numerous reasons unmentioned it is just and equitable that parents’ participation be recognized.

Giving a certificate of appreciation particularly deserving parents in a class fuel them to exert their best
effort. It will boost their confidence and give a sense of achievement while encouraging others to
follow suit.
