Introduction and Purpose


Project scope includes the determination and documentation of the specific project deliverables,
costs, goals and deadlines of different project activities. This documentation of scope in Tesla
Giga Shanghai will help the project manager as well as the project team to remain focused on the
different tasks that meets the organizational goals. The importance of defining project scope is
that; it helps project team to have a common objective, it gives a roadmap which the managers
will utilize to assign tasks, and also prevents the project from going beyond the established
vision. The defining and documenting scope, stakeholders need to be more specific in order to
avoid any scope creep which requires a part of project to need more effort and timing due to poor
planning or any miscommunications.

Scope Management
Scope management is defined as a process that helps to determine and document all the project
goals, deliverables, deadlines and tasks during the planning process. With an appropriate
management of scope, the project team can manage and make any changes as such big projects
like Tesla sales and Budgeting project are prone to changes. The project scope contains; the
project constraints and assumptions, project deliverables, and the exclusions. With a well-defined
project scope, the project manager is able to avoid; constant changes, going over the budgets,
