PROPONENTS
CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

Mr. Jabez P. Baer is the sole proprietor of Jabez Wooden Coffin

Manufacturing. The company was founded in March of 2021. Hijo National

Highway Maco, Davao de Oro, was where it was established. Any variety of

wooden coffins are produced by Jabez Wooden Coffin Manufacturing at a very

low cost and offers a wide range of services that are connected to the funeral

industry. Jabez P. Baer was inspired to start this company by his grandparents,

who own and operated a funeral home in Tagum City.

The most popular method for preserving a deceased person's remains in a

respectable manner continues to be coffins and caskets. People are growing

more accepting of death in modern society. It's no longer taboo to discuss life

and death. Many people are planning for death because it is an unavoidable part

of life, especially because the cost of coffins is rising.

On the other hand, Jabez Wooden Coffin Manufacturing stands out from the

competition because of its factory pricing that are affordable for everyone. Jabez

Wooden Coffin Manufacturing is dedicated to satisfying customer needs and

preserving the unmatched quality of its goods and services.

Other funeral service providers that don't have their own coffin

manufacturing facility have formed a commercial agreement with Jabez Wooden

Coffin Manufacturing. Additionally, they work with regional insurance providers

like the Mindanao Care Allied Services Cooperation for Damayan program, Inc.

(MINCASECO). They have the greatest edge over their rivals in selling coffins

because they are situated close to the Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC)

in Tagum City. Since patients who pass away at Covid-19 are buried right away
without the customary nights of wake, they are frequently asked to supply

caskets.

MISSION

To be an innovative and sustainable manufacturer where customers can

pick from a variety of goods at fair rates and to be dedicated in producing

highly innovative and pertinent products and services that will greatly improve

and sustain the social and economic well-being of the community.

VISION

To be a role model business and a point of reference in the distribution

industries. A symbol of quality and credibility in social services.

OBJECTIVE

Is to satisfy clients and produce standard coffins that adhere to industry

best practices. They also make sure to work hard to expand their company so

that it is recognized as the largest coffin manufacturer in the relevant region.

Studying Jabez Wooden Coffin Manufacturing's operations is the goal of this

business plan's preparation. It specifically intends to draw attention to the

profitability of this type of business and its potential, as well as to present its

high return on investment, which will inspire individuals to participate in this

form of enterprise. The results of this study will also be beneficial to Mr. Jabez

Baer since they will provide him a better understanding of the advantages and

disadvantages of his company. As a result, company strategies that address

the problems and consider potential opportunities will be developed.

CHAPTER 2

Jabez Wooden Coffin Manufacturing is constantly developing new wooden coffin

designs. They experimented with various hues and patterns. They also accept client-

requested customized designs.

Jabez Wooden Coffin Manufacturing's resources and relationships are a

competitive advantage. They can push for the distribution of their reasonably priced

wooden coffins, which go as far as Panabo City, Mati City, Digos City, Davao City, and

Pantukan, thanks to their direct connections with intermediaries. They also accept

payments from government agencies that other funeral homes and coffin manufactures

won't because the payments could take up to six months, including the Office of the

President, Office of the Mayor, DSWD, etc.

CHAPTER 3

MARKET STUDY

Jabez has two major structures of market, the business-to-business (B2B)

and the business-to-consumer market (B2C).
Jabez's business-to-business transactions included those with neighborhood
hospitals and insurance providers. The B2C, on the other hand, refers to
Jabez's particular customers, who are typically the departed person's relatives
who live in Maco and other neighboring localities.
Business to Business Market:

Business-to-Consumer Market:
The B2C market of Jabez are the low-to-middle income residents,

especially indigenous people, in Maco, Davao de Oro and other nearby

municipalities who are looking for an affordable casket for their deceased

family members. Also, they specifically targeted the grieving families of

COVID-19 victims to demand that the bodies be disposed of right away. So,

purchasing a cheap casket is a more useful option.

Competition
Jabez Wooden Coffin Manufacturing, which is based in Maco, Davao de Oro,
on Hijo National Highway, mostly serves the Tagum region. In order to expand
their offerings, they also accept phone calls from various locations, including
Panabo City, Mati City, Digos City, and Davao City. The funeral homes and
other enterprises that produce the same goods as Jabez are hence competitors
of Jabez. They also see crematoriums as rivals in the market, particularly when
it comes to handling COVID-19 casualties.

Due to their win-win strategy, Jabez's company operation has a low danger of
competition. They strive to offer their reasonably priced items to nearby funeral
homes rather than competing with them for consumers. Regardless of their
ability to customize their goods and services

Market Supply and Demand

There are 37 barangays in the municipality of Maco, where Jabez is
situated. There are 83,237 people living there as of 2020, and 4,219 (or 5.07
percent) of them live in Barangay Hijo. From the 2015 statistics of 81,277, the
most recent census in 2020 shows a positive growth rate of 0.50 percent, or a
gain of 1960 persons. Despite the large population, the community only has
two funeral establishments operating.
According to municipal civil registrar, the total registered death in Maco
