front of, behind, next to, between).
 Let the students follow through the preposition chant.
 Ask the class as to what have they observed in the video presented.
 Ask them if they have an idea as to what will be the lesson all about.
 Explain that the video talks about few examples of preposition.

3. Presentation
 Ask the class as to what is the meaning of preposition based on the video presented.
 Explain that preposition is a linking word used before a noun or pronoun and show its
relationship to some other word in a sentence. The words linked to are called, objects.
 Show pictures and let the students describe the picture and let them identify the preposition,
noun, and object of the preposition.
 Explain that there are 3 types of preposition. The preposition of place, direction and time.
 Give examples of each type of preposition.
 Explain that they will only focus on the preposition of place this time.

4. Analysis
 Group the class into 2 to play the dictation game.
 Each group must have representatives to draw on the white board the things that the
teacher will say using the prepositions.
 Explain that each representative should have 30 seconds to draw whatever the teacher will
say. (e.g. The dog is on the car) Show the class what “The dog is on the car” by drawing a
picture.
 This game will measure the students’ understanding on the language used in the preposition
chant.

5. Abstraction
 Open the class for queries and clarification
 If all are clarified, ask the students the following questions:
o What is preposition?
o What are the three types of preposition?
o What are the prepositions of location mentioned in the preposition chart?
o Why is it important to use proper prepositions in daily life?
