INTRODUCTION TO PRINT MEDIA

DEFINITION:
Print media can be defined in the most basic terms as any printed item that informs
readers through the use of words and/or images. Newspapers and magazines are the two most
popular forms of print media, but there are other forms as well, such as books, brochures,
newsletters, and outdoor billboards.

Basically, it refers to any printed paper under the sun that contains relevant information
on a particular product, event, or even person.

Print media are still widely utilized today to spread messages and connect with people all
over the world. Print media has changed over the years from merely reporting news to now
including entertainment and advertising.

Print media today can and has changed how customers perceive products and services
from many various businesses, making it an effective marketing tool. They can advertise and get
publication for their products and services on different forms of print media.
