Programming Method
By following this simple programming method the operator will find it much easier to enter a
complete program.

Starting Easy Guide i
3
Fixed Form Sentence
Fixed Form Sentence gives the operator the ability to create
statements that can be added anywhere in the program
4
Creating a New Program
5
Start Screen
The START, CYCLE, FIGURE and END soft keys are the
main keys used in creating your program.
The 'START' key is used for entering program start and all tool processes.
The 'CYCLE' key is used for defining which cycle the tool will use.
The 'FIGURE' key is used for defining hole patterns, machining figures and
subprograms.
The 'END' key is used for entering the information to end the program.
6
Process Start
Press the 'START' soft key and then cursor over to the 'TAB' marked
'PROCESS START' then press the 'SELECT' soft key to display the following page.
Using the 'PROCESS START' page enter the number of the tool you wish to
use.
Spindle speed and spindle rotation direction (M3 CW, M4 CCW).
Tool offset number (this will always correspond to your tool number
e.g... T1 H1).
Your 1st X,Y and Z position move.
The next tool you wish to use.
Whether you require coolant on (M8 Flood coolant, M7 Though-the-spindle-
coolant).
And finally your work offset number (G54-G59).

Machining Simulation
Defining the Blank
Before starting the machining simulation you must first define the
blank material size and also define all the tools you will be using.

I = Work Origin X
J = Work Origin Y
The work origin is calculated from
the bottom left corner
K = Work Origin Z

37
Tool Data Table
To be able to see the tool when running simulation you must first set
up the Tool Data Table.
After selecting the tool move the cursor to the 'SET' column. Set
the number corresponding to the direction in which you will be
cutting. ( Will almost always be 1)
The last column is for setting the nose angle of the drill (NOS AN)
(Remember this information is for simulation purpose only and
will not effect the pro- gram).
You will also have to inset a value into the 'TOOL OFFSET' geometry column so
the control knows the size of the tool to draw.
