Easy Guide i
Programming Manual
For Doosan Machining Centers

©Phil Misseldine 2007

Introduction
Easy Guide i is an innovative new way to program CNC machine tools.
The operator uses graphical screens with easy-to-use icons that create part
programs interactively in very few steps. This ‘Fill-in-the-blank’ method of
programming greatly reduces set up time and allows operators with no
G-code experience to construct most 2 dimensional parts.

Programming Method

By following this simple programming method the operator will find it much easier to enter a
complete program.

Fixed Form Sentence
Fixed Form Sentence gives the operator the ability to create
statements that can be added anywhere in the program

Press the 'SETTING' soft key to display the Fixed

Form Setting page.

You will notice that there are Tabs marked

Form 1 to Form 5.
Entering information into Form 1 will be dis-
played when you press the 'START' soft key,

program is entered into
the controls memory.

5
Start Screen
The START, CYCLE, FIGURE and END soft keys are the
main keys used in creating your program.

After creating a new program press the right arrow

soft key to display the start menu.

The 'START' key is used for entering program start and all tool processes.
The 'CYCLE' key is used for defining which cycle the tool will use.
The 'FIGURE' key is used for defining hole patterns, machining figures and
subprograms.
The 'END' key is used for entering the information to end the program.

6
Process Start
Press the 'START' soft key and then cursor over to the 'TAB' marked
'PROCESS START' then press the 'SELECT' soft key to display the following page.

Press the 'SELECT'

Tool offset number (this will always correspond to your tool number
e.g... T1 H1).
Your 1st X,Y and Z position move.
The next tool you wish to use.
Whether you require coolant on (M8 Flood coolant, M7 Though-the-spindle-
coolant).
And finally your work offset number (G54-G59).

When finished press the 'INSERT' soft key.

cutting. ( Will almost always be 1)

The last column is for setting the nose angle of the drill (NOS AN)
(Remember this information is for simulation purpose only and
will not effect the pro- gram).

You will also have to inset a value into the 'TOOL OFFSET' geometry column so
the control knows the size of the tool to draw.
