REACTION ON THE REPORT ABOUT DRUG-TESTING IN SCHOOLS

Reporter: MS. MARIA ELAINE GRACE O. MENCIANO

Based on my research and what I already know, Education for all program is
implemented to provide all Filipinos with the basic learning needs or enabling all
Filipinos to be functionally literate which means having the complete range of skills and
competencies which are cognitive, affective and behavioral.
The Education for All (EFA) is a Global movement by UNESCO (United Nation
Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) aiming to meet the learning needs of
all children, youth and adults by 2015. UNESCO has been mandated to lead the
movement and coordinate the international efforts to reach Education for All.
What I learned about in the report is The National Education for All Process which are
Assessing the Progress towards the 6 EFA goals, reviewing implementation and
strategies to achieve EFA, and determining the relevance of the EFA framework. This
process has so many programs like k-12, open high school program etc., competencies
and policies where the only objective is to achieve an improved quality of basic
education for every Filipino by 2015.
