PG Diploma in Industrial Automation (PGDIA)

Industrial Automation is a process of operating machines and other industrial equipment with the help of logical
programming, to reduce human intervention in decision making. To face the challenges while implementing
industry 4.0, the knowledge of digitization, operation technology, sensor technology, control system, data
analytics and IIoT is essential.
The Industrial Automation leads to increase in production, recuing cost of manufacturing, improvement in quality
of the product, efficiency of operation, reduction in energy consumption and eventually increase in the business
profits.
In view of scarcity of multidisciplinary manpower to handle such a
complex technology, this course is designed. The proposed one year
Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Automation (PGDIA) is aimed at
developing the manpower required for the industry, to boost the
economy of the industry as well as to promote the concept
“Atmanirbhar Bharat”. This PGDIA designed to make learners to
acquire the knowledge, and skills needed to work in the area of
Industrial Automation (sensors, actuators, PLC, DCS, logic
developments and programming), industry 4.0, and Industrial
internet of things (IIoT).
