Each part of the structural exam has a 3-hour breadth (morning) module and a 3-hour depth (afternoon)
module.
• Breadth modules (AM sessions): These modules contain questions covering a
comprehensive range of structural engineering topics. All questions are multiple-choice.
• Depth modules (PM sessions): All questions are on in-depth structural analysis and design
requiring detailed manual calculations.
Candidates must take the breadth and depth modules of each part. To pass the SEng exam, a candidate
must receive acceptable results on both components. Please note that it is possible to score 90 out of
90 in the written exam without answering any Bridge related breadth or depth questions.

EXAM UNITS
Upon discussing with many subject-matter experts, it has been determined that Bangladeshi engineers
are more conversant with FPS. Hence, the exam will be administered in FPS units.
PASSING SCORE
Your exam results are based on the total number of correct answers that you selected. There are no
deductions for wrong answers. There is no specified passing score. The passing score will be
determined based on the overall performance of all the examinees in the respective SEng Exam. PRP-
Portal will not publish the criteria for the evaluation of performance as this will be determined by SEng
exam administrators and may change based on the overall difficulty of the exam.
