ACTIVITY NO. 8

Voting for the election has concluded. Simply answer the following questions.

1. As previously questioned, the computerized election process. Some of the

unsuccessful candidates claimed that there was widespread cheating. Do
you believe it is time to return to a manual election?

- Based on the outcome of the election, I believe it is not the time to return to
the manual election, instead, COMELEC must further improve their work as
they have the most important role in this life-changing election that may
change our whole economy. They must prioritize the security system of the
ballots and provide an immediate response regarding the issues that may
occur on the PCOS machines. In terms of the machines, they must “buy”
instead of “renting” outdated machines, they should have a “dated” with the
latest security features and more durable machines. Also, in terms of people,
they must be highly trained, well-disciplined, and have passionate volunteers
to operate the election ballots to avoid manipulation of votes. I conclude that
the best way to avoid these problems is “discipline and honesty” with
everyone. Without this, nothing will happen in this country if all of the
officials and personnel are easy to manipulate and cheat no matter how the
security system of the election is very strict. We must change and think
thoroughly about our decisions that will benefit everyone and not only our
hidden agendas.

2. What improvements do you want to make to the automated election to aid

teachers in this matter?

- The improvements that I want to make in the automated elections to aid the
teachers are reasonable and sufficient honorary pay for the teachers who
dedicate their selves and volunteer to assisting and managing vote ballots.
Another improvement is also to provide other shifting volunteers so they are

not exhausted too much. As far as I observe, these are the only things that
are needed to improve. So far, the election is quite organized and all of the
teacher volunteers don’t complain too much.

3. As a future educator, what do you believe your role will be in this new
government?

- As a future educator, my role in this new government/administration is to

guide and check all the wrong things that this government will be done. We,
educators, will be the way toward improvement of the government to meet
the citizen’s need for a comfortable and healthy economy.
