Questions
Provide answers to all of the questions below:

1. Explain:

 the purpose and content of an operational plan

An operation plan is an extremely detail-oriented plan that clearly defines how a team or
department contributes to reaching company goals. It outlines the daily tasks required for
running a business. When properly created, an operating plan makes sure each manager and
each employee know their specific obligations, as well as how they should execute them
within a defined timeline. Mapping out the day-to-day tasks that ensure a clear path to the
business and operational goals is essential to success.

 the role of an operational plan in achieving the organisation’s objectives

An operational plan defines the actions of an organization, team, or department that are
required to achieve the goals of the organization. It connects strategy, resources, and the
intended end result.

 the purpose and content of a contingency plan.

A contingency plan is a plan designed for a different outcome than the regular (intended)
plan. It is often used for risk management for extraordinary risks which, although unlikely,
will have catastrophic consequences. The purpose of an emergency plan is to help your
business resume normal business operations after a disruptive event.

2. Explain the difference between an operational plan modelled on the organisation as a whole and
one that has been modelled to suit a specific organisational goal or department.

Operational plans can be used at the macro level of the organization to achieve goals but can also be
used at a more micro level to achieve specific goals within a new department or project. The second
difference is the focus on goals between an organizational focus and a departmental focus is the way
all departments should work together to achieve organizational goals will be included in the
operational plan modelled on the organization as a whole. Therefore, they have their own budget
assigned to them. The major distinction is the plans of the arrangement. The senior administration
group is responsible for developing operational strategies at the organizational level. Once developed,
the operational plan will be carried out by cross-functional offices that will collaborate to ensure the
plan's success. And each office should have a leader or set of leaders that are accountable for
developing their own operations strategies.

3. Describe typical methods for developing an Operational Plan.

 Scenario Planning Method: This approach ensures that planners are fully engaged in
