This Possession will be established taking subject to the movement of Tamper in train formation from
Ruislip Depot and the timely end to service on all affected lines under suspension;
• Possession Stage 1: Possession will be implemented from COT Friday to SOT Saturday.
Possession will be from Preston Road Substation Gaps to Baker Street Substation Gaps
excluding Neasden Depot All on the Metropolitan Line and from Stanmore to the Buffer stops at
Charing Cross Sidings and Step-Plate Junction south of Green Park on the Jubilee Line
(excluding Stanmore Sidings) and will be protected utilising (Section 3.8 of Rule book 14).
• Possession Stage 2: Will be from SOT Saturday to 21:00hrs Saturday. Possession will be from
Preston Road Substation Gaps to Baker Street Substation Gaps including Neasden Depot All
excluding the Sheds on the Metropolitan Line and from Stanmore to the Buffer stops at Charing
Cross Sidings and Step-Plate south of Green Park on the Jubilee Line (including Stanmore
Sidings) and will be protected utilising (Sections 3.2, 3.5, 3.6 and 3.7 of Rule book 14).
Neasden depot will be traction current ON/OFF to the POM’s requirements
• Possession Stage 3: Will be from 21:00 Saturday to 06:00hrs Sunday. Possession will be from
Preston Road Substation Gaps to Baker Street Substation Gaps including Neasden Depot All
excluding the Sheds on the Metropolitan Line and from Stanmore to the Buffer stops at Charing
Cross Sidings and Step-Plate south of Green Park on the Jubilee Line (excluding Stanmore
Sidings) and will be protected utilising (Sections 3.2, 3.5, 3.6 and 3.7 of Rule book 14).
• Possession Stage 4: Will be from 06:00hrs Sunday to 21:00 Sunday. Possession Will be from
Preston Road Substation Gaps to Baker Street Substation Gaps including Neasden Depot All
excluding the Sheds on the Metropolitan Line and from Stanmore to the Buffer stops at Charing
Cross Sidings and Step-Plate Junction south of Green Park on the Jubilee Line (including
Stanmore Sidings) and will be protected utilising (Sections 3.2, 3.5 ,3.6 and 3.7 of Rule book
14)
• Possession Stage 5: Will be from 21:00hrs Sunday to after COT Sunday. Possession Will be
from Preston Road Substation Gaps to Baker Street Substation Gaps excluding Neasden Depot

The Possession Master (POM) will book out with the Track Access Controller (TAC) the Line
Clear/Line Safe area the Buffer Sections as listed below:
• All Traction Current Sections within the Possession area and Buffer Sections listed will be
confirmed OFF to the POM with a valid CRID by suitably certified Protection Staff.
• The Possession Master will contact the TAC once all support staff have confirmed support
duties completed to clear the booking of the protected area for section 3.8 of RB 14 and
register the Possession as on-going.
➢ The integrity of Engineering Hours is maintained during this stage as per LU Rule Book 17,
Section 2.2

. Stage 2 Overview
Possession Stage 2 will be implemented prior to SOT Saturday utilising P2 Possession arrangements
in accordance with LU-RB 14 Sections 3.2, 3.5, 3.6 and 3.7 Protection Method and will remain in place
until 21:00hrs Saturday when stage 3 is implemented.
Possession Stage 2 will be on all roads from Preston Road Substation Gaps to Baker Street Substation
Gaps including Neasden Depot all Roads excluding the Sheds on the Metropolitan Line and from
Stanmore to the Buffer stops at Charing Cross Sidings and Step-Plate Junction south of Green Park on
the Jubilee Line including Stanmore Sidings.
Traction Current will be switched ON/OFF to the requirements of the POM in Neasden Depot
Northern Limits:
• At the Buffer Stops at Stanmore Platforms 1 to 3 (No markers required)

As per OSN 148, the Possession Master (POM) will instruct protection support staff to place
a protection block (a detonator placed next to the possession limit marker displaying the
wording ‘ENTERING POSSESSION AND PROTECTION BLOCK’ on the approach to the
possession) at the following locations:
• 106 Road North end of the Level Crossing. (North End only as Physical barrier).
• Shed Door on Roads 25 to 36 (North End only as Physical barrier).
• Shed Door on Roads 30 to 36 (South End only as Physical barrier).
• Shed Door on Roads 42 to 44 (North End only as physical barrier).
• Shutter doors on Roads 40 to 44 (South end only as physical barrier).

The Current arrangements MUST be verified by the Cable Linesman and confirm OFF with an
‘Approved Voltage Indicator’. Upon instruction from the POM the Cable Linesman will carry out Traction
Current feeding arrangements as follows:
Cable Linesman to carry out local isolation of Brown Section to ensure traction feeding arrangements
to the Sheds always remains ON.
Neasden Depot: (prior to SOT Sat to 19:00 Sat) & (from 21:00 Sat to 21:00 Sun)
Cable Linesman will check and ensure that Isolation Switches D1404 and D1405 are in the closed
position to feed Neasden Depot Sheds, lock off and label.
Cable Linesman will request the Metropolitan Controller to switch off Neasden Depot – of Mauve, Red,
Green, Blue, Indigo, Charcoal, Orange and Yellow Traction Current Sections from Neasden Depot
Substation.
Cable Lineman to operate Isolating Switch D1166 of Brown Section to Open Position, lock off and
label
Cable Linesman will open the following Isolating Switches as a precautionary measure against
accidental switching on of traction current within the possession area
These arrangements will remain in place until 19:00hrs Saturday when traction current will be switched
on to part Neasden depot to prevent continued interrupted power supply to the Jubilee line trains.
Neasden depot
Short Circuiting Device (SCD’s) (Prior to SOT to 19:00 Sat) & (21:00 Sat to 21:00 Sun)
Short Circuiting Devices will be placed at the following Traction Current Sections (locations) to prevent
and / or reduce the effect of accidental Traction Current switch on within the Possession:
Neasden Depot
• At the Traction Current Section of Green Section
• At the Traction Current Section of Charcoal Section
• At the Traction Current Section of Blue Section
• At the Traction Current Section of Orange Section
• At the Traction Current Section of Brown Section
• At the Traction Current Section of Mauve Section
• At the Traction Current Section of Red Section
• At the Traction Current Section of Yellow Section
• At the Traction Current Section of Indigo Section
• Check and ensure that Coupling Switch D220 is in the ‘Normal Open Position’, locked off and
labelled
• Put Change-over Switch D1400 in the ‘Mid Position’, locked off and labelled
• Put Change-over Switch D1401 in the ‘Mid Position’, locked off and labelled
• Put Change-over Switch D1402 is in the ‘Mid Position’, locked off and labelled
• Put Isolation Switch D1170 in the ‘Open Position’, locked off and labelled as a precautionary
measure to prevent accidental recharge
• Check and ensure that E59 Switch room is set to feed from the Substation
• Check and ensure that Coupling Switch D1407 is in the ‘Normal Open Position’ locked off and
labelled
• Put Change-over Switch D993 in the ‘Mid Position’, locked off and labelled
• Put Isolation Switch D1171 in the ‘Open Position’, locked off and labelled
• Close isolation Switches D1167 - Mauve Section, D1168 - Red Section, D1160 - Green Section,
D1163 - Blue Section, D1172 - Indigo Section, D1161 - Charcoal Section, D1164 - Orange
Section and D1166 - Brown Section.
• Request switch ON from Line Controller of Mauve, Red, Green, Blue, Indigo, Charcoal and
Orange traction current sections.
Stanmore Sidings:
• The Current arrangements MUST be verified by the Cable Linesman and confirm OFF with an
‘Approved Voltage Indicator.’
• Cable Linesman to request the isolation of Stanmore Sidings (Yellow and Blue traction current
sections) from the Jubilee line Service Controller and confirm OFF
• Relevant Switches are checked, locked off and labelled, keys held by the Cable Linesman
The isolation for Stanmore Sidings will remain in place until when Possession stage 3 is
implemented.
Short Circuiting Devices will be placed at the following traction current sections to prevent and/or
reduce the effect of accidental traction current switch on within the possession: SCD must only be
placed at a Traction Current Section that is confirmed switched OFF with authority from the POM

position to feed Neasden Depot Sheds, lock off and label.
Cable Linesman will request the Metropolitan Controller to switch off Neasden Depot – of Mauve, Red,
Green, Blue, Indigo, Charcoal, Orange and Yellow Traction Current Sections from Neasden Depot
Substation.
Cable Lineman to operate Isolating Switch D1166 of Brown Section to Open Position, lock off and
label.
Cable Linesman will open the following Isolating Switches as a precautionary measure against
accidental switching on of traction current within the possession area
Stanmore
• The Current arrangements MUST be verified by the Cable Linesman and confirm OFF with an
‘Approved Voltage Indicator’
• Cable Linesman to request the isolation of Stanmore Sidings (Yellow and Blue traction current
sections) from the Jubilee line Service Controller and confirm OFF.
