CHAPTER ONE
1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This is an internship report, undertaken by Adams Majeed (BCM/0020/18) at HIS MIGHT

VENTURES, Kotokrom.. This report summarizes my internship program on August 2021. It

encompasses all the activities undertaken at HIS MIGHT VENTURES. My report gives a

brief introduction of HIS MIGHT VENTURES and the duties I was attached to do in the

business. HIS MIGHT VENTURES is owned by an individual. My choice for selecting this

organization for my internship was to gain the practical training of what I have been thought

in school as an accounting student. Also in return, I can apply my knowledge gained in

school at the workplace. As a student, my involvement in this attachment was to make sure

that I acquire new knowledge and practical skills, improving in problem solving and to relate

well with different kind of people likely to be met in real life situations.

I was tasked with call over activities, keying of numbers for withdrawals and deposit

transactions, performing cash counting, registering of sim cards, assisting customers,

recording and balancing of daily withdrawals and deposits.

2.0 INTRODUCTION
The industrial attachment program which is part of the school’s curriculum, provides the

opportunity for students to be practically exposed to working conditions and also gain

experience in the corporate world. This program is mandatory for all level 300 students in the

school of business and law where each students is given the opportunity to present

application letters given by the school to various organizations or institutions based on the

student’s field of study, allowing the student to perform minimum of eight weeks internship

and I ventured in a home grown business.

2.1 NAME OF THE BUSINESS


HIS MIGHT VENTURES happens to be one of the MTN authorized mobile money vendor in

Kotokrom a town in Sunyani district, Ahafo Region. It is located opposite the fuel station

along the Sunyani-Techiman road. The business was established in the year 2017. It was a

small table-top business and expanded to a mini container.

2.2. AIM OF THE BUSINESS


The aim of the business is to help the people of Kotokrom have easy to money when needed

and also send money. Initially, if someone needed to send or withdraw money, the person

will have to go to town in order to do so which pose an extra cost. Thus, HIS MIGHT

VENTURES was established to eliminate such problems.

2.3 NATURE OF BUSINESS


Mobile money is a fast, convenient, secure and affordable way of transferring money, making

payments and doing other transactions using a mobile phone. HIS MIGHT VENTURES is an

authorized MTN mobile money vendor which deals in the following.

 Selling of credit cards

 Selling of sim cards

 Registering of sim cards

 Sending of money

 Withdrawing of money

3.0 EXPERIENCE/LESSON LEARNED
The time spent at HIS MIGHT VENTURES has helped me to gain some skills that will help

me in the near future and other important projects to be carried out. I have been able to

develop the attitude of self-discipline in terms of hard work and punctuality.

3.1 OPPORTUNITIES
Opportunity can be defined as a chance for advancement, progress or profit. HIS

MIGHT VENTURES have the following opportunities:

 High population

 Higher working class

3.2 CHALLENGES
Some of the challenges faced by HIS MIGHT VENTURES are as follows;

 Inadequate funds

 Socially engineered fraud typologies

 Network breakdown

 Most people intend to buy on credit

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION


4.1 CONCLUSION
This industrial attachment has created an enabling environment which has helped me gained

practical knowledge in the handling of money. My aim of correlating the knowledge gained

in the classroom to the working environment as well as gaining good working experience and

skills at work field were achieved successfully.

4.2 RECOMMENDATIONS
1. I recommend that the business should not sell on credit

2. Also there should be enough money to meet customer’s requirement
