Nature Pam visits, gives Yellowstone NP presentation

Nature Pam (formally known as Pam Sikora) visit-
ed the Medina County Home on Thursday, Oct. 20
to give residents a presentation about her discover-
ies, knowledge, and photos of Yellowstone Park.
Pam gave detailed information about the wildlife,
geysers, volcanoes, her personal stories all involv-
ing the Yellowstone National Park and much more
during her stay.
She has been giving presentations on different
National Parks such as the Everglades, Mesa Verde,
Sleeping Bear Dunes, The Grand Canyon, and
much more. The residents love learning about the

Sharon Nature Preserve


now open in Sharon Twp.
Medina County Park District is pleased to an-
nounce the opening of Sharon Nature Preserve, a
134-acre property located at 6734 State Rd. in Sha-
ron Township.
The park district acquired the property in 2014
with a $500,000-plus grant from the Clean Ohio
Greenspace Conservation Program.
The site officially opened with a ribbon cutting
held on Thursday, Oct. 27 with park district staff,
commissioners, and several members of the commu-
nity in attendance.
High-quality wetlands dominate the nature pre-
serve; however, a remnant of huge sugar maples re-
sides on an upland knoll in the center of the property

The nature preserve is rich in natural resources,

There is a 20-car parking lot at the nature pre-
serve. Biking is not permitted at this site. Leashed
