MODULE CONTENT
Social Interests, Emotional Stability and Maturity Level
Adolescents form many relationships at this stage which widen social spheres and
influences. Maturity and emotional stability are important especially when dealing with
people handling stress.
Freedom and Independence
There is also a desire for freedom and independence, which sometimes results in
conflicts with parents and authorities. Having known, more or less, who you are, what
you/ like to do, your preferences lead to want to do things your way.
Career Interests and Inclinations
The middle and late adolescence period is a preparation for adult roles, which requires
that you seriously begin considering what you plan to do in the future. Career
exploration is one prominent task that an adolescent should engage in.
