INTRODUC TION
The introduction section tells the reader what problem your study is attempting to solve.
You can address the study’s significance and originality here as well. It contains the background
information of the research topic. It also sets the stage for the entire study through establishing
the issue leading to the research. It is a need to present the studies that have addressed the
problem, the deficiencies in the studies. The importance and the purpose statement of the study
for an audience should be included. This is with application of the Deficiencies model by J.W.
Creswell. Trends Issues Objectives Contribution (TOIC) can be also utilized. The third technique
is Inverted Pyramid Approach of writing an introduction. Researcher will provide the general
Topic/ Background information. After, one could define the major variables and provide legal
basis, then provide the importance and reason of the conduct of the study. There is no required
length for the introduction, however, a researcher could have at least two to three pages. Do not
This part will present the goal of the research which is being presented through research
questions. Research question should state what the researcher wants to accomplish or achieve in
the study. Statement of the problem has two parts. First is the general problem, this will be the
sentence as openings of the S.O.P. Researcher will state the general problem of the research
being covered. Researcher can use this to start the S.O.P, The study aimed to determine the
difficulties of the student to formulate a research introduction of Grade 11 students of Legazpi
Two types of questions: Non researchable questions and researchable questions. This part the
researcher will be presenting the research questions. Example, “Specifically, it sought to answer
1. Researchable question
2. Non-researchable question
This is a part of Chapter 1 that identifies the beneficiaries and the benefits will give when
the problem is solved. Researcher will highlight the contribution this study will have to the
reader. To start the significance of the study, refer to the statement of the problem. Research
should answer this question, what are the benefits or advantages of the study based on the
statement of the problem? Decide on the format style (paragraph form and enumerated form).
Scope of the study refers to the extend which research area would be explored. It explains
the parameters within which the study will be operating. The following phrases could be used to
write the scope. This study will focus ... The scope of the study will be … Researcher should
include the general purpose, important details of the study, population/ target, respondents,
sample size, geographical location, setting, duration and research timeline or limit. Other
boundaries set by the researchers. Limitations aim to identify the potential weaknesses of the
study. Shortcomings or conditions that the researcher cannot control. Delimitation of the study is
mentioned into the final section of the study usually in the results and discussion. This will be
limited to…
