NAVRATRI is a Hindu festival of worship and dance. The word Navratri literally
means nine nights in Sanskrit; Nav-Nine and Ratri-nights.
Navratri is divided into sets of three days to adore three different aspects of the
supreme goddess or goddesses. On the tenth day of Navratri, the holiday of
Dassehra, an effigy of Ravana is burnt to celebrate the victory of good (Rama)
over evil.

The history of Ahmedabad begins in the eleventh century with the Solanki King
Karandev I, rule of Anhilwara (modern Patan).
He waged a war against the Bhil King Ashapall or Ahaval, and after his victory
