This material will describe how to use Samsung A71/A11 for SRS

Requirements :
• Android Mobile SW should not be upgraded
• SRS App
• Understand Customer Band distribution
• Customer Sim Card should be installed in SIM1 slot
• Phone by Google – caller ID &Spam protection – download from the play
store
• Make sure GPS on at you phone
How to check the mobile SW version ?
• Go to settings
• Choose ( about phone)
• Check android version

Its mandatory not upgrade the new

phone once purchased keep and keep
them on the original SW level
Band Distribution
You need table for all site Data from SRS admin as below

• 1800

2G Band lock using
PHONE google
• We will use google App to lock
on each band ( 900 and 1800)
• for 2G only needed is band lock
• 6 measurement needed for 2G

Open phone Open app and type select UE Setting select setting Select protocol
Google App the code
 2G Steps :Band LOCK

Select NAS Select Network select Band select SIM 1 Select clear Select GSM band
Control Selection all band
 2G Steps : Band LOCK

Select apply band Notice that apply done Press on 3 dots and select
Select GSM 900
configuration Back till protocol
 2G Steps Frequency Lock
(optional)

Select GSM Select EGSM 900 Select 3 dots and input value
Select AS Select Frequency
Freq Lock Freq Lock from SRS server table
lock
 2G result
G900 Test
o Press starts when you are
inside the pie (it should be
Green)
o select the required Cell id
o Do for all needed sectors for
900 band
o make sure all test is successful

G1800 Test
o Repeat the same steps again
for G1800
o Do band locking with the
same steps for G1800
o then do frequency locking
for G1800
o go to SRS and perform the
test

Open SRS and type you will notice that Once you are inside the Make sure all measurement
PSW then sign in coverage cell is 2G PIE press start and select successful
cell then press measure
3G Band/frq Lock

• We will use the same process to

do Band/Freq lock for WCDMA
• Engineer must refer to the table
in slide 4 during the test
• For each sector 4 tests (12test)
to be done using SRS
1. U2100 1st carrier
2. U2100 2nd Carrier
3. U2100 3rd carrier
4. U900.

Select WCDMA Select IMTK2K Select 3 dots and input value

Select AS Select Frequency
Freq Lock BAND Channel from SRS server table then
lock
press ok
 3G Steps Frequency Lock

Once frequency locked so reboot it or press Then set PSC Select 3 dots and input value
so he will ask for on airplane mode then from SRS server table then
Rebooting the device uncheck again press ok
 3G result
U2100 Test
o Do for all needed sectors for
2100 band for all 3 carrier
o do frequency lock
o make sure all test is successful
o repeat for all carrier

U900 Test
o Repeat the same steps
again for U900
o Do band locking only with
the same steps forU900
o go to SRS and perform the
test

Open SRS and type you will notice that Once you are inside the Make sure all measurement

cell then press measure
LTE Band lock using
PHONE google
• We will use google App to lock
on each band ( L800 and L2600)
• will use phone Google App to
lock on each Cell
• for 4G only needed is band lock
• 6 measurement needed for LTE

Select Frequency Select GSM Select FDD LTE (1-10 for Select 3 dots and input value
Select AS from SRS server table
