General Guidelines
Expected number of references is 10 to 20 in ASME format (attached to the notice) or IIIE
format.
Literature survey should be around 3 to 5 pages
Page number format (bottom center 1/1)
Very Important instructions
o Report should be made using this standard template only
o Students should type the report (avoid outsourcing and copy paste from literature)
o Figure/Table/Equations should be self-cited and properly referenced.
o The report should be of about 30 to 40 EFFECTIVE pages
General Instructions- Font size 12, Times new roman, spacing 1.5

ASME References Format

Within the text, references should be cited in numerical order according to their order of
appearance. The numbered reference citation within text should be enclosed in brackets.
Example: It was shown by Dalvi S D [1] that the width of the boundary layer decreases under
these conditions.
In the case of two citations, the numbers should be separated by a comma [1,2]. In the case of
more than two references, the numbers should be separated by a dash [5-7].
ASME does not allow references to Wikipedia.

ASME primarily uses the Chicago Manual of Style for reference format. (Available in
MS Word software in references tab, insert citation)
