TOPIC The text is all about the essence of all things

called life. Life is temporary, but the beauty in it
What is the text all about? should be acknowledged, and must live to the
fullest. Life should never cease to be fulfilling;
one cannot outlive the aspect of time so just enjoy
the beauty in life with appealing desires. There is
no permanence on Earth, life can be restless like
the sea; temporal, but desires permanence.

place where horrific typhoons exist.

be reminded of how important life is.
The group should have individuals with different
ways to accommodate and live life. The poem
informs the readers that life can be restless too
just like the sea.
The text was written to prompt us readers that life
can be rough as the sea, but we can believe that if
the sea can find stability once it meets the shore,
we can find it too.
It hopes to achieve the alteration of the reader’s
mind about the concept of life. It expects to give a
clear perspective to the reader to broaden their
minds about the perils that come forth in life.
The voice behind the text would be a persona of
someone on a beach at Gabu, to dwell on and
envisage his life while watching the vicious sea.
Contemplating about the life that he has lived and
confronting the transience of life.
It can also be said that the voice behind it would
be the author himself, Carlos A. Angeles. Carlos
A. Angeles was born on May 25, 1921, in
Tacloban City, Leyte His collection of poems
entitled "Stun of Jewels" also bagged him the
Republic Cultural Heritage Award in Literature in
the same year.

Salubungin ang (Bagong) Daluyong ng mga Agos sa Disyerto
SA PANAHONG tila natutuyuan ang mga linang ng panitikan noong gitnang bahagi ng dekada
’60, dumaloy ang mga akda nina Efren R. Abueg, Dominador B. Mirasol, Rogelio L. Ordoñez,
Edgardo M. Reyes at Rogelio R. Sikat, sa aklat katipunang Mga Agos sa Disyerto.
Unang buhos ng daluyong ay noong 1964 at isang dekada ang lumipas, muling umalon at
binasa ang namimitak na lupain ng panitikang Filipino nang mailimbag ang ikalawang edisyon
ng Mga Agos sa Disyerto noong 1974.
Huling sargo ng daluyong ng Agos ay 16 na taon ang nakararaan, nang lumabas ang ikatlong
edisyon nito noong 1993.
Ngayon, sa panahong sampu isang pera ang patakbuhing literaturang patuloy na lumuluoy sa
diwa at kaluluwa ng mga Pilipino, muling nagbabanta ang pagbugso ng mga Agos sa Disyerto.
