I wanted to write this article for some time now. I am so glad

that I took out the time. At the end of this article you will not
only be able to understand your birth chart but also comprehend
it to a large extent. Let’s get right into it. I’ve posted a birth
chart below, which I generated using some random birth details.

Now please look at the above chart and carefully observe 3

things:
1. First, it has 12 sections. These sections are called houses, and

the house marked in orange is the first house represented by the
symbol H1.
2. Do you see the number “7” in the first house that is the 7th
zodiac sign, which is Libra. Since it is the sign in the first house,
it also called the rising sign or the ascendant.
3. Do you see how signs are arranged? Once Libra (7) is placed in
the 1st house then the next sign (8) goes into the second house
in the counter-clockwise direction. And the same for the next
sign and so on – I hope you are able to see this.
Now the placement of planets is pretty straight-forward. You can

see that your Sun is placed in the 5th house in the sign of
Aquarius (11). A birth chart is basically an interplay of 3 different
energies: 1. Planets, 2. Signs, and 3. Houses. There are 9 planets,
12 houses, and 12 signs (9 + 12 + 12 =33) that make up a birth
chart and I am going to explain each one of them below.

is seen from the 1st house.
The 1st house

MEANING OF THE SECOND (2ND) HOUSE:

The 4th house is the home you build; it differs from the 2nd
house because that is the home you were born in. And if your

The 5th house is the house of new

you or put you in an old age home (just kidding). Lastly, it is an
important house if you are starting your career in a creative
field. And it also defines what kind of interests and hobbies you
have in general.

Ketu is the exact opposite of Rahu,

possessions. A loss of a job, a court case, a sudden change of
residence, or a loss of a loved one can be due to Ketu. It forces
