Vincent de Paul Parish Pastoral Council Meeting Minutes for October 18, 2022

Members present: Father Patric, Scott Sigourney, Cheri Walloch, John Sweeney, Jr., Mary Jo
Sigourney, Don Walloch, Karen Shirek, Pat Springer

Meeting opened at 5:30 with a prayer.

Committee Reports/Concerns

Sacred Worship: (Karen Shirek) The church is in the middle of pew counts – will send report to
the Diocese and Don wants to put them on the website. Memorial for deceased members of our
parish will be on Saturday, October 29, at the 5:00 mass. Father reported the Christmas Eve
Masses will be at 4:00 and 9:00; Christmas Day will be 8:00 and 10:00. Barb Trickle is stepping
down from the sacristan duties – an ad is in the bulletin already.

Religious Education: (Mary Jo Sigourney) Youth Rally is tomorrow, October 19. We are hosting.
Father Weller is going to be the speaker with pizza served afterwards.

CCW: (Pat Springer in Ann Hamus’s absence) See CCW minutes from September 16 meeting.

Tech/AV Committee: The cost a year ago for a 4K camera was $4,000 per John Sweeney, Jr.
Father reported that changing the system out including a new camera was around $13,000. It
would be nice to get the projector off the altar.

New Business:

Postcards for advent – include Immaculate Conception mass times, Communal Penance, and
Christmas masses. Will have ready to label and stamp at our next meeting.

Special Family/Children Christmas Eve Mass at the 4:00 Mass.

Future Guest speaker -- Advent, Lent – Mary Jo will look into getting a speaker.

John Sweeney, Jr. – cemetery cleanup had good support from St. Vincent. We lost a bearing in the
furnace for the blower for the school. There was no heat for most of last week, but it was fixed by
Friday.

Meeting closed at 7:20 with prayer.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 15, at 5:30 in the Gathering Space.
