Quality management for manufacturing of automotive LPG container

l- The main data base required for Manufacturing

* Desigrr and code inspection: (ECE R67& 15020826).
* Material: EN 10120 (P245NB orP265 NB or P31ONB).
* Origin of material: (West Europe, Japan, US, and Turkey (Erdemir))
* Mill Test Certificate (MTC) according to EN 10204 Type : 3.2
* Design pressure: 30 Bar
* Design temperature: -20 to +70 C .
* For Cylindrical tanks (Design calculation and Desigrr thickness shall not less than

3 mm) i For Metal type P3IONB the final tank thickness shall not less than 2.8
mm , the test shown in (2.4 I 3*) below shall be taken in consideration.
* For Torodial tanks (Metal Thickness shall be enogh to satisfr the conditions of
(ECE R67& 13020826).
* Heat treatment: as code required .

2 - Quality management for production must a commitment to State Company For

Gas Filling and Services (SCGFS) requirements under controlling by one of
independent Third-Party Inspection (TPI) Agency exclusively should be one ofthe
following: (Intertek global, TUV Rheinland , Bureau Veritas , SGS, ATG and
Rina).
2.1- Quality Control supervision covering (manufacturer authority, design
calculation, drawing, material using, examination and inspection program,
correction of non-conformities, manufacturing control, Welding operator
certificates , codes and standards required for examinations and tests, calibration of
measuring.Tools, PQS., W?S, Record Retention and sample forms).
2.2- TPI Standing (witness) on all points of quality control management through all
manufacturing working batches* and laboratory inspection procedures.

2.3 - The quantity of test samples during Production must be depending on batch*
*Batch of containers means a maximum of 200 containers of the same type
produced consecutively on the same production line.

2.4 - Tests to be performed on containers are:

* The specific change in the volume of the metal container at the time of
bursting shall be comply with the regulation of ECE R67.

3- Documents must be included the following:

3.1- The design Calculations and (verification , examination) desigrr from athorized
agency for the parameters in item (l) and approved by third party inspection.

3.2- Mill Test Certificates

3.3- Inspection test plan on all activities approved by the third party for each one .

3.4- All inspection reports for test that shown h Q.\ approved (witness) by the
third party.
3.5- Final inspection certificate issued and approved by third party inspector that

summarize the results for all inspection tests and assigned to complied all

requirement of manufacturing code by supervision all quality control (Q.C) points
and test activities without any remarks.

3.6-Material check Report Includes (The Mill Certification number with the heat
Number and coil number) that used for manufacturing the serial numbers for the
containers ,approved by the Manufacturer and the third party inspection.

Notes :

*Attached the (ITP) with the technical offer.

*Before shipping the containers, documents and the certificates shall be sent as in

point (3) to the SCGFS to stady it and select samples to test it.
* After the containers access to the (SCGFS) stores samples will be taken to make

the final verification by test it.
