1 WWINT. DAVID APARTMENT-9:46AM-DAY 1

The camera focuses on David's eyes as the open.
David is 28 years old.
The camera pulls back to see a somewhat put together
apartment building, on the coffee table is a bag of chips and
dip and a bottle of bourbon? No it's apple juice. I don't
know what's in the cup.
David is in nothing but a tank top and jeans that still have
the tag on them. He checks his phone and looks shocked.
CO
DAVID
OH SHIT! OH SHIT!
His boss has called his over 17 times. He immediately calls
his boss back.
DE
BOSS
(over the phone)
DAVID! Where the hell have you been?
You're supposed to be at work.

(over the phone)
It's a Saturday, I'm not supposed to
be on the clock.

BOSS
(over the phone)
Well Thomas Hobbes quit. He was head
of the superhero department. SO i
moved you to the superhero
department.

DAVID
Absolutely not! One I hate
superheros. Two why can't you get

BOSS
(over the phone)
Because I don't have to give you an
explanation and You don't want to
lose your job.

DAVID
(over the phone)
Are you seriously threatening my
job?

BOSS

(over the phone)
Listen you have two choices, don't
come into work and lose your job or
come into work and make extra money.
Before David could give a final word in, the phone goes to a
dial tone. The Boss hung up on him.
DE
David looks around his apartment contemplating, he decides he
will go into work.

2 INT. POLICE PRECINCT-11:00AM-DAY 2

David walks in and grabs a dount from the break room before
running into his boss.

BOSS
Good your here, now we have some
business to discuss.

They walk into his office.

DAVID
Look I'm sorry I was late okay.

BOSS

Save that apologies for someone that

cares. There are more important
matters.

DAVID
Like what?

BOSS
There is a new masked vigilante that
calls himself Codex or The Codex.
Imma put you and Agent Rose on the
job. Rose will be teaching you the
ropes in the superhero division.
CO
David turns around when Agent Rose walks through the doors.
She is a beautiful Angel sent from the heavens.

AGENT ROSE

hands.

DAVID

BOSS
