CHAPTER ONE - PAY UP

1A. EXT ALLEY WAY. NIGHT

The alley is wide with a quiet street sitting beyond it.
DAVE, an ex military mid 20 year old runs in from the right
end of the alley leans on the left wall panting heavily, he
slips down to the floor. He has just come running out of a
local club away from MR JONES and his GOONS. The disruption
was a result of DAVE failing to reimburse MR JONES of a
loan made. The loan was needed by DAVE as he struggled to
adjust back to society after fighting abroad. His distress
is tracended by jump cuts as he counts the little money he
has before sitting down with his head leant back onto the
wall. A close up of DAVE shows him doze off in a haze. The
sound of guns and explosions simmers in at the same time.

CHAPTER TWO - LOOT IT

2. INT. DAVE'S HOUSE - NIGHT, SOME MONTHS AFTER

DAVE sits in his small living room watching the television.
He has been living a life of terror and violence, exactly
what he fled the army from. DAVE's mindcan't process the
innconet lives he has toyed with. The TV plays news reports
of violence abroad. The sound of guns and explosions sends
DAVE into a trance that combines his actions both in the
army and abroad. He grabs the TV remote to turn the volume
down which turns the sounds up - he can't escape it.

DAVE takes a moment to reply as EMILY meets his eye.
DAVE
Yeah, well, I mean, it can't be

EMILY
The girls said he his wife left

DAVE
Aha. I don't think George is quite
capable of that.
EMILY's giggle dies out before DAVE, she looks at his
drink.
EMILY
(Scruches nose) Black coffee?
DAVE
Gives me the illusion I'm awake,
EMILY
I'm more of a green tea, skinny

Oh right..
Dave looks down the cafe behind him.
DAVE
Quite busy today was it?
EMILY
Yeah (still facing the coffee
machine) it's strange though, the
last place I worked in a day like
this would be quiet a hell.
EMILY turns with coffee and places it in front of DAVE.
EMILY
It's strange not being busy here
is doing better than nothing, can
I get you anything else?
DAVE
No thanks.
Dave reaches towards the right side of his trousers where
both his wallet and pistol sit. The audience is left a long
