SOAL NOMOR 1
1. Style of language used in that conversation is informal style. Informal language usually
used in everyday conversation with friends or our collague while we talk casually. Informal
style language in nowadays is more diverse and grows in our society, for the example
born a new language style that we usually called “slang” language. “Slang” language is
usually used by children or young adult in daily conversation when they talk to their friends.
Informal language can be used when chatting or emailing with our friends.
Informal language is different with formal language. Formal language is usually
used when we are in formal situations, or when we talk to older person, to person who has
higher position or in business conversation.

2. The topic in that conversation is they are both friends who talk about their days or what
they feels when they are on a job interviews and support each other.

SOAL NOMOR 2
MY OFFICE
I am a civil servant at Pengadilan Agama (Religion Court) Marisa. Pengadilan Agama
Marisa is a court under Mahkamah Agung Republik Indonesia (Republik Indonesia Supreme
Court). I worked at Pengadilan Agama (Religion Court) Marisa is about 2 (two) years. Pengadilan
Agama (Religion Court) Marisa is located at Jalan Diponegoro (Blokplan Perkantoran Marisa),
Desa Palopo, Marisa, district Pohuwato, Province Gorontalo.
Pengadilan Agama (Religion Court) Marisa’s building has same building with another
courts under Mahkamah Agung Republik Indonesia (Republik Indonesia Supreme Court). It has
cream and dark brown color. In the front of the building, there are 4 (four) pillar with function to
sustain the office building. The 4 (four) pillar has a meaning, its represent 4 (four) type of court
under Mahkamah Agung Republik Indonesia (Republik Indonesia Supreme Court), one of the
pillar is represent district court, religion court, administrative court and military court.
I have a comfortable office, there are computer with a good specification, comfortable
chair, newest printer and scanner. In my office there are two air conditioner, so I never worry
about heat weather in my office even in Pohuwato regency everyday feels like a summer. I feels
comfortable in my office because I have a big desk with a lot of drawer, so I can put my documents
there.

SOAL NOMOR 3
1. The sender of the memo is Jonathan Stewart as Manager.
2. The memo is for all the employees or all staff in that office.
 3. The memo is about invitation to attend farewell ceremony in honour of Jesse Carrillo as Marketing
Manager.

With the reference to your advertisement in Channel 51 TV Show, and I was so very interested
to join your competition My City Got Talent.
I would be pleased if you would send me your registration form to join My City Got Talent. And I
don’t forget to ask you about the deadline when the registration ended. If it possible I would like
to let me know, what I Suppose to prepare to join this competition, like what document,etc. It is
competitive and satisfactory if I can join on your competition.
