A Task 1: 7.0 (~6.5) The tables depict the world population and the regional distribution pattern in the 1950 and 2000, with the forecasted figure in 2050. Overall, it is readily apparent that there was an upward trend in the number of people residing in most continent, with the exception Europe and North America. In addtion, the world is increasingly populated throughout the period shown. Concerning the first table, the number of worldwide inhabitants grew more than double, with 6 billion in 2000 compared to 2.5 billion in 1950. In constrast, to a narrower extent, the projected figure only see a three-halves increase from 6 billions in 2000. Regarding the other table, the proportion of North American and European shared relatively similar patterns, with the former falling to 4% from 7% and the latter decreasing from 22% to 7%. In constrast, Africa and Latin America are expected to reach their peak in 2050, to 20% and to 9% respectively; whereas Asia touched its highest point during 2000, followed by a marginal drop from 60% to 59%. In comparison, the percentage of Oceania residents is going to record a period of stability during the given period.

In recent years, the planet is suffering from a variety of environmental issues as fossil fuels consumption is widely conducted. Thus, it is believed that inventing other subtitutes to fossil fuels should be prioritized. From my perspective, I approve of this statement for the following reasons. Prompts solution to this matter is beneficial on different levels. Initially, deterioration in the present air pattern is attributable to long-lasting use of old materials. More specificially, as continuous abuse is made in petroleum production, detrimental gas emission continually occurs, meaning that catastrophic elements are added to air components. For instance, sulfuric gas is released after gasoline is burned, leading to airways irritation and diarrhea. Furthermore, greenhouse effects, which are the principal cause of global warming, mainly result from the process of burning these obsolete materials. + LR Conversely, some others may claim that development of these alternative is not urgent. The fundamental explanation is that other categories such as education, healthcare are more worth-investing. Nonetheless, unless rapid progress is made in developing other safe subtitutes, global temperatures are forecasted to significantly rise. In this case, more money has to be put into the budget for energy promotion or else no existence is seen in the planet. + TR + LR In conclusion, in spite of the fact that investment into developing different fields is beneficial, the advantages of prioritizing in alternative sources outbalance the flaws - CC
