Student Activity: Film Analysis(Bird Box)

The movie that I chose to summarize is "Bird Box." It is because there are many
symbols in that movie.Bird Box deals sensitively with the issue of mental health in
society. It investigates how it is perceived by those who are directly affected, as well as
those who view it, and how those attitudes are communicated. The film depicts a schism
in society, a 'us and them' situation.Susanne Bier (The Night Manager) subtly conveys
her message through clever symbolism. We are told in Bird Box that an unseen force has
the power to make people who stare at it unbalanced and overwhelmed with the
suggestion of suicide. As a result, the protagonist and main characters of the story wear
blindfolds in public in order to remain unaffected. There are characters in the film who
want to stare at the monster, who are not frightened to see it and frantically want
others to do the same. They are portrayed as evil by the protagonists, not to be trusted
and avoided at all costs. However, as the film progresses, we learn that many of the
protagonists are also battling with personal demons, demonstrating that victims are not
necessarily those you think. They might not even have the sickness. They could be
relatives, friends, or lovers. In the last sequences of Bird Box, when the characters seek
to reach a promised'safe spot,' they must utilize their voices and rely exclusively on
words. The tension that rises as people attempt to reach this haven is a byproduct of the
desire to be understood, to use the voice that many conceal in order to manage with
mental health concerns. As the film's aim is completely revealed in the climax, the
questions posed remain merely that. The exact shape of the creature is never fully
revealed. What matters most is the protagonist's evolving mindset. She's no longer
afraid to look or speak. Finally, any answers we seek can be found exclusively in our own
ability to tolerate others. Only in this way can we let go of our judgments and blindfolds.

I was rewatching the film Birdbox. I have noticed that the protagonists are
notscared to gaze or talk. I can relate to this since there are some individuals who are
reluctant to express their thoughts because they believe they are invalid. In modern
culture, we must always be conscious of the things we do and say. As a result, we can
avoid being assessed by others.
