We will be hosting a session for entrepreneurs in the area with Daniel Kranzler, Senior
Partner at Capria Ventures and the visionary for VentureBasecamp, focused on why it
helps for entrepreneurs to understand how investors think when building their
startups. The location is in our Key Locations section on Page 6.
Session 1.4: Thinking Like an Investor & Deal Evaluation Scenario (continued)
The incubator manager, or Head Sherpa, is a crucial ally for an entrepreneur in their startup
journey. Capria VentureBasecamp provides the frameworks and workshop guides that Head
Sherpas can use with their entrepreneurs to ensure real progress. Day four focuses on how to
create strong, efficient processes of engagement between entrepreneurs, Head Sherpas, mentors
and other stakeholders in the program.
FAREWELLS!
Participation
We are giving you our full, undivided attention and we are asking for yours too! The intensive is going
to be exactly that –– intense.
Each team should have at minimum 2 team members attending for at least the first two days, unless
otherwise discussed with the VentureBasecamp Team. Please confirm your team members attending
via the email that Alex sent out with this packet.
We understand that you are very busy managing your organizations, but please do not schedule
meetings or calls during the sessions. If you have important meetings or calls, please prepare to take
them prior to the beginning sessions, during lunch or after the evening sessions.
We are more than happy to allow you to use the event space prior to the Intensive sessions starting in
the mornings, if you need access to the internet, or a quiet space to work from. Please let the
VentureBasecamp Team know, and we can help you with that.
Key Locations
We’ve put together a list of key locations, including the venue location, hotels, recommended
restaurants, cafés and pubs.
If you need access to the Wi-Fi and you do not have an Indian SIM, please see the information
desk at the airport, and they should be able to provide you with an OTP to access the internet if you
need to book a cab.
Recommendation for international travellers: Keep your hotel information available, as well as a
snapshot/printout of google maps to show your driver. If you are staying at Bloomrooms, tell them
you are going to 100ft Road, Indiranagar.
If you land and need help, please reach out to us! Our contact information is on the last page of this
document.
It should take approximately 1 hour 5 minutes to get from the airport to Indiranagar. Please find the
hotel locations on the map in Key Locations above.
The Venue
Please find the Google Map link with the tagged location in the previous Key Locations section.
When you get to Thought Factory, please go to Tower D, second floor. You will find Thought
Factory and The VentureBasecamp Team through there.
Security should let you through without having to sign in––we will be giving them your names prior
to the event.
Be prepared to cross a busy road! See annotated map on the next page.
Weather
The weather in Bangalore is typically pleasant year round––warm in the afternoons, and cool in the
mornings and evenings. September is a bit of a wet month, though any rainy spells should not last for
more than an hour at a time.
Be prepared for bad traffic when it rains, though!
