general public.

convenient and anonymous way of purchasing a range of medicines, As cited by
(Maxwell, 2020), most developed countries require a valid prescription and a risk-
benefit assessment by a competent healthcare professional before they can be
administered. Unregulated websites are by passing the necessity for a prescription,
posing a possible risk to public health. Internet medication purchases have already
been linked to severe morbidity and mortality.

2, & Lajos Botz 1, 2018), Although thousands of internet pharmacies are accessible
on the web, the actual size of the market is unknown. Currently, there is limited data
available on the use of internet pharmacies, the number, and attitude of people

This project illustrates the designing and implementation of a web based Pharmacy
management system for the Central Pharmacy, Pokunuwita. As cited by (Rathnayake,
2021), the main goal of is to improve accuracy, safety, and efficiency in the pharmaceutical
store by reducing issues that arise during normal operations. They are now employing a
manual approach, which is extremely difficult to manage. Some important challenges
discovered in the problem domain include managing stock with paper records based on
expiry dates and the quantity available in stock. The system aims to reduce staff workload
and boost company value in order to achieve competitive advantages in the pharmaceutical
industry. Distinct users are given different jobs by the system. They are an administrator,
a cashier, a data entry operator, and a regular user, all of whom can enter onto the
system as distinct user roles and do their jobs independently. Administrator has
complete control over the system. Administrator activities include creating users,
generating reports for managerial decisions, and managing staff attendance. In addition,
the system will display information on drug expiration dates and stock levels. It is far
easier to manage stock using software than it is to work with paper records. Customers
are the company's most valuable asset. As a result, the system will assist in reducing
customer wait times.
