PLACING CERTAIN PUROKS/BARANGAYS IN ILIGAN CITY

UNDER ENHANCED COMMUNITY QUARANTINE (ECQ)

WHEREAS, on March 8, 2020 following the declaration of the World Health

Organization (WHO) declaring COVID-19 as pandemic, President Rodrigo R. Duterte, by
virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 922 declared a national public health emergency;

WHEREAS, on March 16, 2020, Presidential Proclamation No. 929 was issued declaring
a state of calamity throughout the Philippines due to Corona Virus granting local
government units (LGUs) ample latitude to utilize appropriate funds and actions to contain
the virus;

WHEREAS, as of August 3, 2020, there are already 63 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in

the city wherein 18 are active cases and among those active cases, 5 of which are medical
frontliners of the city working in the different barangays;

WHEREAS, Section 2 of Executive Order 112, Series of 2020, issued by the Office of the
President authorizes mayors to IMPOSE, lift or extend community quarantine in barangays
upon consultation with the Regional IATF counterpart;

WHEREAS, likewise the Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community

Quarantine authorizes LGUs to declare localized enhanced community quarantine should
there be even one (1) confirmed local transmission of COVID case in any Barangay, Sitio or
Purok;

WHEREAS, after consultation with the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force counterpart,
the local IATF has recommended for the imposition of localized enhanced community
quarantine to certain barangays in Iligan City due to new cases of local transmission.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CELSO G. REGENCIA, by virtue of the powers vested in me by

law as City Mayor of Iligan do hereby order:

SECTION 1. Imposition of localized enhanced community quarantine in the following

barangays/puroks:

1. Pala-o;
2. Villaverde;
3. Ubaldo Laya;
4. Mahayahay;
5. Poblacion
SECTION 2. The following guidelines shall be observed:

1. The Barangays/puroks identified or placed under localized enhanced community

quarantine shall be for a period of fourteen (14) days from August ___, 2020 until
August ___, 2020. During said period, contract tracing and RT-PCR testing shall be
conducted on all first level contacts. Health monitoring on all individuals in the said
barangays/puroks shall be conducted by the BHERTS/City Health Office. Any
individual found positive for COVID-19 shall be extracted from the concerned areas
and transferred to the LGU Isolation Facility;
2. All households within the barangays/puroks under localized ECQ are required to
STAY AT HOME and MASS GATHERINGS are strictly prohibited;
3. Control Check Points shall be established in every ingress and egress to ensure strict
implementation; and
4. Conduct of frequent disinfection.

SECTION 3. The Quick Response Team (QRT) shall be organized by the local IATF to
carry out the test-trace-treat strategy against COVID-19 in the localized ECQ areas.

SECTION 4. The Iligan City Police Office is hereby directed to implement the full extent
of this Executive Order.

The City Government of Iligan reserves the right to extend and/or declare any
puroks/barangays under localized enhanced community quarantine as maybe feasible
and necessary to prevent the continued spread of COVID-19 and to ensure that existing
health and safety protocols are strictly observed.
