It is a pleasure for me to recommend Syed Muhammad Jamil Shah for the prestigious
“Computing Fellowship: Support Engineer” at CERN. I have known Mr. Jamil Shah
both personally and academically for more than 7 years.

Mr. Jameel is a quick learner, ambitious academic leader and a terrific team player. He has
got good analytical and critical skills, which are essential for any problem solving. He can
analyze and critically evaluate complex computing problems, and can bring novel and
innovative ideas. He has a diverse technical skill set, including networking, satelite
communication, wireless communication and data science.

Mr. Jameel is cuurently working as an Assistant Director in the IT department of Higher

Education Commission of Pakistan. He holds an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from
Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has about 7 years experience in the
IT sectors, and has coordinated in several national level IT projects.

In my humble opinion, Mr. Jameel is a very suitable and a competitive candidate for this
fellowship, and your program will enable him, with a great experience and exposure for
increased responsibilities at CERN as a part of Support Fellows Team.
