Appendix-A

Backup the Data of DVD-RAM disk (YCJ-1000)


ATTENTION
Check that the DVD-RAM disk has been set in the DVD-RAM drive of the Data Processor
Unit. When it is set, the access LED ⑤ of the DVD-RAM drive lights up in green.

1) Press the BACKUP START switch ① on the Operation Panel.

2) Then the BACKUP OPERATION LED ② on the Operation Panel lights up, and the
backup starts.

3) It takes about 30 minutes to complete.

4) Then the BACKUP OPERATION LED ② on the Operation Panel is turned off.

<Removing the DVD-RAM disk>

ATTENTION
Do not remove the DVD-RAM disk while the access LED ⑤ of the DVD-RAM drive is
ON (amber). Otherwise, the data may get corrupted or written incorrectly.

1) Make sure that the access LED ⑤ of the DVD-RAM drive lights in green.

2) Open the tray by pressing the EJECT switch ⑥ of the DVD-RAM drive.

3) Remove the DVD-RAM disk from the tray ④

4) Close the tray ④ by pressing the EJECT switch of the DVD-RAM drive.

5) Keep the removed DVD-RAM disk in a case.

<Inserting the DVD-RAM disk>


* MUST keep spare DVD-RAM disk at least one piece on board.
• Confirm the DVD-RAM disk Not write-protected before inserting the DVD-RAM disk.

1) Press the EJECT switch of the DVD-RAM drive.

2) The tray ③ moves forward.

3) Insert the DVD-RAM disk with the printed shatter side up.

4) Push the DVD-RAM disk forward (drive side) by about 2cm.

5) Press the label side of the disk slightly, so that the disk is set in the tray without leaving any room
in between.

6) Press the EJECT switch of the DVD-RAM drive.

7) The tray ③ closes.


Appendix-A

Backup the Data of the PC CARD (YCJ-1700/1700S)


ATTENTION
If the backup of a PC CARD is likely to be made frequently, another PC
CARD should be ready just in case.

1) Make sure that the ①PC CARD LED on the Operation Panel Board is on.

2) Press the ②BACKUP STOP SWITCH on the Operation Panel Board.

3) The ①PC CARD LED on the Operation Panel Board blinks


for about 5 seconds.

4) Make sure that the ①PC CARD LED on the Operation
Panel Board turns off. And pressthe ③PC CARD EJECT BUTTON.

5) Take out the PC CARD. ②

<Inserting New PC CARD>


* MUST keep spare PC CARD at least one piece on board.

6) Insert the new PC CARD into the ④PC CARD SLOT on the Main Control
Board. (Be sure that the PC CARD JRC-label side is pointing right.)

7) Make sure that the ①PC CARD LED lights up.



ATTENTION
When the PC CARD LED is kept turned off for 10 minutes or more, the
MEDIA ERROR LED blinks and the ALARM BUZZER sounds. ③
If a PC CARD is inserted into the PCMCIA slot in the Main Control Board,
the ALARM BUZZER stops.
Appendix-A

Backup the data of CF CARD (YCJ-1800/1850)


ATTENTION
Do not remove the CF CARD while the CARD LED on the MCB is on.
It can damage the CF CARD. Make sure that CARD LED is off.

1) Make sure that the ①CARD LED on the MCB is on.



2) Press the ②CARD STOP switch on the MCB.

3) The ①CARD LED on the MCB blinks for about 5 seconds.

4) Make sure that the ①CARD LED on the MCB is turned off.

And press the ③CF CARD EJECT BUTTON.

5) Take out the CF CARD.

<Inserting New CF CARD> ⑤


* MUST keep spare CF CARD at least one piece on board.

6) Insert the new CF CARD into the ④CARD SLOT on the MCB. ②
(Be sure that the CF CARD JRC-label side is pointing right.)

7) Make sure that the ①CARD LED lights up.

8) Then the recording of data into the CF CARD starts automatically.

ATTENTION
When the ①CARD LED is left turned off for 10 minutes or more,
⑤MEDIA LED lights up on MCB and OPU gives the alarm
with alarm buzzer. ALARM lamp and ERROR CODE LEDs start blinking.
(Error Code: 31__ ) If a CF CARD is inserted into the CARD slot
in MCB, the alarm buzzer stops and ALARM LEDs goes out.
