Proposal for Nonprofit Newsletter

Overview
Email newsletters are one of the most successful ways to let people know about our
activities. Success for a non-profit organisation depends on building and engaging a
community . We will observe a sharp increase in our community outreach key
performance measures as we continue to nurture your leads through routine
communication. Newsletters are a low-cost way to update potential supporters on
the latest developments, solicit donations and volunteer work to further promote
social change, educate more people about the social cause we support, identify
those who need our services the most, and assist in spreading the word to
businesses and individuals about the benefits our organisation provides to the
society.A newsletter is essential for providing readers with frequent information on
how our mission and activities are evolving, updates that can increase their sense of
involvement and engagement with everything we do.

What Content can be included?
There is a lot one can include in a newsletter. In a way it is a medium to send across our
message and what all we support. Some things we can include in our email newsletter are:

● Beneficiary tale: The individuals who have benefited from our organisation
throughout the years—our beneficiaries—can provide strong examples of how we
may have a positive social impact. By requesting consent from our beneficiaries to
share their experiences, we may make the most of this opportunity. Because it
strengthens the audience's relationship to the brand, storytelling is a crucial
component of marketing. They humanise the information, which can occasionally be
dry and challenging to comprehend.
● Donor story: Similar to beneficiary stories, donor stories can also include tales of
actual organ donors. Making connections between individuals and organ donors may
inspire them to contribute as well; this may prove to be a highly motivating and
alluring factor.
● Milestone update: Whenever our organisation reaches a new milestone, we should
let the community know how happy we are. Milestone updates demonstrate to others
that our team is moving ahead and not merely coasting or slogging along.
● Articles, Poems and Art works: We can include articles on a variety of subjects
related to our cause. Myths and facts, people's opinions, current events, history, and
so on. Original poems written by our volunteers, team members, and interns. Also,
perhaps some art works created by people connected with us, or a competition that
we may hold.
● News: Current events can provide an excellent opportunity to discuss the cause and
how it affects the larger community or the world. When something in our field makes
headlines, we can highlight it in our newsletter. The key is to demonstrate how the
news event affects us and the cause we support. Whether the situation benefits or
harms your society, we should explain the event's impact to our community in your
own words.

Requirement
After creating an attractive and effective newsletter strategy and an email newsletter i.e a
newsletter that catters the requirement of our target audience, address the goals and the
cause we support and convey the right message etc. there are some steps or factors to be
considered before launching our newsletter
1. Newsletter service: A dedicated newsletter service improves deliverability and
handles the more technical aspects of email marketing and functions as email
service provider (ESP). While other ESPs, such as Gmail and Outlook, can do the
job for individuals, they lack the capacity and level of authentication required to
ensure newsletter deliverability. Provide campaign analytics, such as open rates,
click through rates, and bounce rates; Assist you in meeting GDPR requirements;
Make it simple to create appealing and engaging campaigns.A few of the most
popular sites include:
SendinBlue: This platform offers a suite of tools to help design and optimise
campaigns, and features a pretty generous free tier.
AWeber: This is an excellent beginner-level tool – it’s simple to use, and
makes getting a campaign off the ground very quick.
GetResponse: With this solution, you get a lot of automation options, so you
can set up campaigns and let them essentially run themselves.
2. Setup an email list:The term "email list" refers to your target audience, which
should be entirely opt-in. This means that the recipients of email must have
given their permission to do so (usually through a sign-up form). This practice
not only improves email deliverability, but it is also mandated by GDPR. An
email list must be managed on a regular basis. Email marketing software
comes in handy here. Instead of manually tracking unengaged contacts, enter
this information into the sales CRM and segment the list.
3. Creating an email subscription form: One of the easiest ways to grow a
contact list is to capture subscribers from existing website traffic. And the next
important thing would be to add this form to the website.

Why a newsletter?
Form of sending a newsletter to people’s email is a part of email marketing. There are
several reasons why it might work out well for a non-profit organisation in particular. The
following are a few causes:
1. Facilitates community building: It helps in the formation of a community by
bringing together individuals who share a common interest in the issue, the NGO, or
both. The relationship you develop with your followers and the authority you establish
in your profession can both be greatly aided by newsletters.
2. Extending our reach: By consistently engaging readers with news, updates, and
calls-to-action, a newsletter can assist us in converting readers into volunteers and
supporters. With the right design, we can reach out to those who aren't simply
supporters but also those who are in need or who are ignorant of the necessity for
organ donation. It will even make it easier for us to locate those in need of organ
transplants so that we can provide better care for them. A newsletter is another
effective tool for drawing users to the company's other platforms. Like linkedin,
instagram, facebook, etc. and will aid us in bringing in additional volunteers,
followers, and attendees while organising events.
3. Helps in spreading awareness: for Igift life the main goal we serve is to spread
awareness about organ donation. The more attractive and innovative the letter is, the
more people will read it and will be looking forward to it.
