a) Before accessing any aircraft you must obey all local safety precautions, at all times.
b) Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, at all times.
c) Trainees will be under the full direction of the Practical Instructor (PI) at all times.
d) Do not touch or operate any aircraft controls, open panels or interfere with any item, test equipment or related items at any time without
the knowledge and express permission of the Practical Instructor (PI).
e) Failure to comply with the above may result in your exclusion from this course.
NOTE:
a) No planned leave should be availed by trainee during practical element training. Minimum 90 % attendance must be maintained.
b) All tasks must be completed.

1.3 GENERAL
This document provides evidence of practical element training to be conducted on the aircraft / engine types (as indicated).
The required tasks are to be carried out on an aircraft. The appropriate equipment is to be utilized to complete the task where required. A full
review of this booklet shall be undertaken upon its completion by the Practical Instructor (PI).

1.5 TRAINEES NOTES

Part.1 It is the trainee’s responsibility to ensure all personal details are entered correctly. Aircraft details will be confirmed by the instructor
and should be completed by the trainee.
Part.2 This part consists of a series of columns that indicate the type of task and show those required for B1/B2 trainees. The rows are
arranged by ATA.
a) The trainee will complete each task as per task reference.
b) The trainee must sign for each completed task. By signing the trainee’s signature column, the trainee is confirming that he/she has
fully completed and comprehended the practical task (Including all relative safety precautions, technical documentation, aircraft
tooling and job setup as required).
c) The trainee must ensure that all completed tasks are counter signed and stamped by the practical instructor.
NOTE: TRAINEE SHOULD IDENTIFY/MENTION MEL AND TSM TASKS REFERENCE FOR EACH RELEVANT TASK IN BOOKLET.

1.6 PRACTICAL INSTRUCTOR (PI) NOTES

The Practical Instructor is responsible for ensuring that:
a) Each trainee has completed all elements of part 1.1 (course and trainee’s details).
b) Part 1.2 (Master Authorization List) is to be completed by the Practical Instructor and Assessor.
c) Ensure that the relevant AIRCRAFT REG / SERIAL NUMBER (s) are inserted. For engines the serial number is acceptable.
d) The DATE column is to be completed with the date that the task was completed.
e) The Practical Instructor ensure that the trainee has signed “Trainee’s Signature” column before completing “Instructor’s signature
and stamp” column.
f) The Practical Instructor is responsible for ensuring the details of all the tasks completed within this booklet are true and correct.
g) All tasks given in this booklet are to be completed.
h) All aspects of the subject task should be covered and be relevant to that subject. This must include: -
i. Safety precautions.
ii. Manuals and relevant documentations.
iii. Procedures.
iv. Tools and test equipment, including special to task items.
i) Any testing procedures that may be required on completion.
j) All safety procedures are adhered to, at all times. All Trainees are to be made aware of any company safety regulations (as
applicable).
k) Personnel Protection Equipment will be provided to each trainee.
l) Question & Answer sessions and group discussions are encouraged throughout, to reinforce the training.
Note: Practical Instructor (PI) will ensure the accomplishment of all tasks practically on the aircraft as much as possible.
However, PI may utilize ‘Thorough Procedural Review’ for the task when its actual performance may not be possible on aircraft.
