Lunar High School Library Handbook

Mission- Our purpose is to equip students with access to information that will help them to
grow and prosper.

Justification- Having a library is important for students to have a welcoming environment

to come learn and grow. Schools that have a certified school librarian help make the whole
school more effective by teaching students to think critically, provide resources, and support
learners' needs. They are also essential partners for all teachers, that they help provide materials
that meet diverse needs to deepen students' learning.

Standards & Frameworks- These standards and frameworks are essential to the
school library program because we are teaching students to become lifelong learners and
providing them with the skills to face future challenges resourcefully and creatively.
