 The word ‘Kam’ / ‫ كم‬means ‘how much’ or ‘how many’. The
word coming after it will be singular and in the case of Nasb.

 The word for ‘one’ is Waa-hi-dun َ

/ ‫ و ِاحد‬and it follows the

noun as an adjective / ‫ ِصِفة‬e.g. one book ‫ِكتاب و ِاحد‬

 The word ‘two’ is Ith-naa-ni / ‫ ِاثن ِان‬and thisَ also
ْ َ follows
َ the
noun as an adjective, e.g. two books ‫ِكتاب ِان ِاثن ِان‬

But usually the word ‫ ِاثن ِان‬is omitted because the dual form is
enough to suggest the meaning of ‘two’.
