Subject: Current Status of COVID - 19 in University

Introduction:

The Purpose for this report is to check the situation of University about COVI D- 19. It was
assigned to check whether there was any need for a week or more of off days from University.
This step was to take place should the situation got out of hand. Corona viruses are a family of
viruses that can cause respiratory illness in humans. They are called “corona” because of crown-
like spikes on the surface of the virus. The new strain of corona virus — SARS-CoV-2 — was
first reported in Wuhan, China in December 2019. It has since spread to every country around
the world. The virus travels in respiratory droplets released into the air when an infected person
coughs, sneezes, talks, sings or breathes near you. You may be infected if you inhale these
droplets.

Methodology:

We make a team of 20 students to conduct the covid survey in university.

 We interview every student of different department to know about the percentage of

students who are infected and absent in class due to corona virus and to give them
awareness about the covid.
 Then we gather the information about the staff members of our university who are
infected due to covid.
 After getting all the information, we spread the awareness about covid in university by
banners to tell the students how to save themselves from this virus.
 Students have little symptoms of covid are tested from doctors and precautionary
measures are given to them like masks, separate rooms.

Results:

From survey, we got the results that only 12% of students are infected due to corona virus and
university is trying to give them full precautionary measures by providing masks and rooms.

Discussions:

Conclusion was that there is no reasons are for the closure of University as SOPs being followed
and the situation of the country are stable and no cases have been reported from the University.
Thus a discussion might be on may that there is no need for strictness on the SOPs as
Government laws are clear and there is no more need to meal masks and gloves and social
distancing.
