No Vaccines No Classes

In 2019, President Duterte released his statements regarding the status and possible
solution for the students amidst the pandemic, the suspension of face to face classes until a
vaccine is developed was indeed a better move opposing to that of resuming face to face
classes despite implementing better health protocols, the reason being that schools are
already well enough diverse and students come from different areas of the nation and they
can have a lot of contact with various people on their way, along the way and when they
are in school. Also mentioning the fact that some students have to live in boarding house or
apartments, meaning that they have a higher risk of catching the virus since they have to
share rooms, bathrooms or belongings with board mates or have the need to go outside in
order to access their needs such as buying food or going to internet cafes, etc. thus further
supporting the fact the classes should for face to face shouldn’t resume until a successful
vaccine is given to all people.

Personally, I support the president’s stand on the solution for the COVID-19 virus
spread for the education system because despite having the need to cancel classes the
safety of the youths for the future generation are also ensured as well as the workers for
the department of education, it is much better this way that they have to find alternative
solutions rather than forcing the resuming of face to face classes, such as modular learning
or online classes, thus the continuation of classes with a lesser risk of an outbreak. The best
that students can do as of now is to wait patiently and bear with the situation since there is
no other way to continue classes, a vaccine will come and someday the normal that we once
knew will come again. Because ever since the lockdown a lot has really happened in the
world and it has impacted greatly on the economy, the people and especially the younger
generation and their learning, they have to go by the days where they will have to answer
modules and attend online classes rather than enjoying interactive classes in a room, they
will have to teach themselves rather than teachers feeding them the lessons that they have
grown accustomed to, there will be hardships along the way of this new method of learning
but soon a day will come again that a student will not have the need to fear when going
outside and interact with people.

Things have changed in this what we consider the new normal, we have to struggle a
lot more in going to school because of this virus but everyone in the government and the
education system is working hard in order to contain this problem, with hope and faith in
God the day shall come again that all students can learn the way that they used to.
