CONCERNED

SUBJECT: Reporting and Validation of COVID-19 Dedicated Beds in the DOH Data
Collect Application

As the country continues to experience COVID-19 surge in various regions due to the Delta
variant, hospital beds have become a critical resource. There have been concerns regarding the
accuracy of the data submitted by hospitals in the DOH Data Collect Application. To ensure the
validity of the hospital data used for COVID-19 policies and quarantine decisions, health facilities
and the Centers for Health Development are directed to perform the following:

All hospitals and infirmaries shall:

I. Ensure that their daily submission in the DOH Data Collect Application reflects the
functional COVID-19 beds in consideration of their available human resources; and
2. Submit an Incident Report to the Knowledge Management and Information Technology
Service via data@doh.gov.ph to rectify unavoidable errors in submission (see
bit.ly/ddctrackerguide for template).

All Centers for Health Development shall:

1. Randomly conduct validation of the reported beds from hospitals in the DOH Data
Collect on a quarterly basis (see bit.ly/DDCBeds Validation for template); and
2. Report the results of their validation to the Field Implementation and Coordination Team,
as the DOH Data Collect process owner.
