Field Day

Games
A collaborative, virtual event with a physical twist.
Field Day Games is an invitation for online
attendees to band together and cause real chaos
in our studio space .

Played over a video conference call , two teams

of remote players compete in real-time, screen-based
games to set off live reactions in our studio.
Instead of tests of strength and stamina, our challenges
depend on each individual's finger dexterity ,
communication and coordination with teammates , and
the speed and stability of their internet connection.

Game No. 1

Tug of War
In Tug of War, teams must coordinate
with each other to pull a slider across
the screen in unison. Successful
synchronized efforts trigger a robot in
our studio to pull down a box of cereal.
Whichever team is faster at spilling
cereal all over our floor wins.

Game No. 2

Egg Toss
Our Egg Toss is more like an egg catch. All
players have access to a virtual field of
falling eggs. Together with their teams,
they must move their cursors to swarm and
catch the eggs. With every successful egg
catch, a guillotine in our studio raises
higher and higher over an unassuming egg.
The first team's guillotine to reach the
top, fall and crack an egg wins.

Game No. 3

X-Legged Race
Our teams end the games with a race of typing.
Each team must type 8 correct sentences together.
However only one person on the team knows what
sentence to type. Each time a team correctly types
a sentence, a receipt printer in our studio prints
a path towards the finish line. A flame awaits the
victorious group to celebrate the win by setting
their receipt trail on fire while we standby with
an extinguisher in the studio.
