Lesson Plan Paragraph for ESL Level 1 Literacy

As an opening for my lesson, I considered integrating all four skills: (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) during
the progress of the class. Each skill has a sequence and an approximate time to be concluded. A handout of a
collaborative activity is printed out by me and distributed among all the students. Each opening must be modeled
first by me, then students volunteering to imitate the exercise.

The approximate time it will take me to pace through the whole group, pair work, and individual work during the
lesson has been broken down under the Lesson Objective, as well as the time it takes to practice each skill/activity.
The class is 3 hours long, from 6:00-9:00 pm. A break is taken from 7:30-7:45 pm, and 30 minutes are allotted for
each activity.  As a close, students will practice and reflect on what they did interactively by sharing their personal
experiences in writing; by mentioning to students that they will be able to share what they write tonight during the
next class or on the test, I am readying them for application of the knowledge at a future date and encouraging
excitement about the topic.
