1.0 Introduction
Steps on how to activate Data Analysis command in Excel if it is not available in your version of Excel, you
need to load the Analysis ToolPak add-inprogram. The instructions follow as below:
Click the
File tab
STEP 6: Click Data to view the Data Analysis Tools at the home tab.
Step 1: Find upper limit for each interval. Step 2: Go to Data, click the Data Analysis Tools and
select Histogram. Then, click OK
Step 3: Click the Input Range arrow ↑ and select all of the raw data.
Step 4: Click the Bin Range ↑ arrow and select the Upper Limit values.
Step 5: Select the Output Range, click chart output. Then, click OK.
Delete the
unnecessary
rows.
Step 6: To adjust the space between the histogram chart, Right-click on any of the coloured bars. Select
‘Format Data Point’. Then, adjust the ‘Gap Width’ until 0%.
Select a blank cell for locating the result. Type ‘=SKEW’ at the cell. Then, select the whole raw data and press
enter. Skewness value obtained.
