against the virus
Claim: The vaccines are helpful at our nation’s recovery from the virus
Direction: 1.) The mortality rate has been decreased
2.) The number of severe cases has also been reduced
3.) Most severe COVID-19 cases and casualties are from unvaccinated
people

The COVID-19 vaccines are helpful at our road to recovery from this pandemic.
The first vaccine delivered to our country was in March 2021. Our country is a
little bit late compared to others, but we will try to catch up.
Shortly after it was distributed and vaccinated to citizens in Metro Manila.
Afterward it was distributed throughout the country, especially in the urban areas
where most COVID-19 cases come from. At first, the help that the vaccine gives
may not be obvious. The cases increase but it is more on due to the poor
implementation and distribution of the vaccines, not to mention the Delta variant
that is somewhat immune to the effects of the vaccines. Near the end of the year
2021 the number of cases drop to a mere hundreds. During the beginning of the
year 2022 the number of cases sky-rocketed after the people celebrated
Christmas and New year, a time of great social gatherings. But the number of
casualties did not increase that much. In the week of January 10-16, the number
of cases is 231,502 but there are only 732 casualties. So, in short, the vaccine is
very helpful and the cause of most of the damaging effects of the virus to us
humans are humans.
The vaccine helps us to have immunity of the virus without getting the severe
effects of the virus itself. The only thing that we need is discipline and wait now
for a little while so the virus won’t spread and if we do that there will be a day
where there would no COVID-19 case her in the Philippines.
