DROPING YOUR GADGETS WHEN TALKING WITH SOMEONE

Actor#1: (sitting on a table waiting for someone to arrive while on his/her phone)

Actor#2: Hey, sorry I’m late. How are you?

Actor#1: (still on the phone while talking) I’m alright. Take a seat.

Actor#2: So, let’s talk about our plan with our group project shall we?

Actor#1: (still on the phone) yeah sure go ahead

Actor#2: Since our project is about art, would you like to sketch or color?

Actor#1: (laughing on the phone)

Actor#2: (getting annoyed) Are you even paying attention to what I’m saying?

Actor#1: Huh? Sorry, what was that again?

Actor#2: You know what? I’ll do this on my own. Go find your own pair if you’re not interested in this
conversation!

Narrator: This is a big no-no! You should not be on your phone when the meet up you attended to is
something important. Instead, try to focus and limit your time on your phone and listen to who you are
talking to. This applies also when you’re on a date.

IF YOU CAN’T SAY IT FACE TO FACE DON’T POST IT ONLINE

Actor#1&2: (talking)

Actor#1: Hey I’ve been smelling something bad on your hair for the past few days you should try and
wash it often or you’ll catch some infections.

Actor#2: Oh sorry that’s bothering you. (got offended)

(actor#2 went home upset and angry and tries to post something online about actor#1)

The post: Someone just told me at school earlier that I smell bad and I don’t shower. Since he/she
started it, his/her breath stinks everywhere when he/she opens his/her mouth.

(actor#1 sees the post and he/she knows that it was about him/her and got upset)

Narrator: Let us not do this to anyone even if they did do something wrong to you. This could lead the
victim to mental health problems such as depression and anxiety. Let us not try to tolerate this kind of
action. Let us try to be more straightforward with what we say and much better if we say it face to face
and work things out.
Topic#2: WEB SECURITY THREATS

SPAM

Actor#1: hmm, what should I do today? I’m so bored. (see’s bestfriend online)

Actor#1: Aha! I should send him/her a message. (spamming him/her with messages)

(10 minutes later)

Actor#1: What’s taking her/him so long? (spamming him/her w/ messages)

Actor#2: (got home from the store and notices phone is getting notifications)

Actor#2: What is wrong with this dude? Why is he/she spamming me with messages? (tries to reply but
the phone is hanging so he tries to call him/her instead)

Actor#2: WILL YOU STOP SPAMMING ME! MY PHONE IS HANGING BECAUSE OF YOU. I CAME HOME
FROM THE STORE YOU ARE SO IMPATIENT!

Actor#1: Oh sorry didn’t know your phone would hang.

Narrator: Let us learn to wait patiently for someone shall we? And of course, we should not spam
someone with messages because this will lead to their phone hanging to the point that they can’t even
swipe their phones anymore. To avoid hanging while someone is spamming you, try and delete the
conversation/convo to lessen the hanging if you can.

VIRUS

Actor#1: How should I download some music on my phone? Let’s try it a website.

Actor#1: (went to an unsafe website and accidentally clicked on a pop up ad)

Actor#1: Oh no I clicked on a pop up ad! (exits the pop up ad and continued to download some music)

10 minutes later…

Actor#1: (notification pops up) Oh no, my phone has a virus! I think it’s because of the pop up ad I
accidentally clicked on earlier. What should I do?!

Narrator: This is why you should never go to a website that you think it is not safe for you to be there.
There can be possible pop up ads that can harm your device if you click on them accidentally. If you
accidentally clicked on a pop up ad and get a virus, try to install an anti-malware software, turn off your
phone and reboot in safe mode, and clear your cache and downloads.
