My job starts from administering drugs orally or parenterally, installing a nasogastric tube,
installing an infusion, installing a urinary catheter, administering a nebulizer, suction,
wound care and others.

My job is the same as in medical surgical nursing practice, but the patients are special for
children
o Maternity Nursing Practice.
My job is to check pregnant women, examine newborns and provide care, do vulva
hygiene and breast care for postpartum mothers.
o Critical And Emergency Nursing Practice.
My job is to provide care to critically ill patients, check critical patient consciousness,
assist colostomy care, provide nebulizer and suction, learn to perform cardiopulmonary
resuscitation for emergency patients. Senior Nursing Practitioner. My job is preparing
new patients for hospitalization, prepare discharge planning for patients who are going
home, provide information about the progress of the patient's condition during shift
changes, accompany when the doctor visits and check the completeness of the drugs
received from the pharmacy.
✓ I did mental nursing practice at the Menur Mental Hospital Surabaya for 1 week on
October 2019. My job is to provide nursing care to patients with mental disorders.
At that time I got a patient with social isolation so I developed a trusting
relationship with patient and encourage him to be able to communicate with others.
✓ Health promotion to the community on how to improve health in the family
environment. The topics which are diarrhea, dental and oral health for children,
breast self-examination, dealing with stress with self hypnosis, acute pain
management for the elderly, etc.
